Busy Week

It has been a very busy week for us. Sunday was mother's day and my mom and day came to visit in the evening and we grilled some steaks for dinner. Then Monday I had a meeting at my old company in the afternoon and during the meeting I received a call from day care. Abby had a fever of 102.6 so as soon as the meeting was over I drove to day care to pick her up. I called the doctor's office on the way and the said to have her there by 4:45pm and the first available doctor will see her. We were lucky enough that her doctor was there and able to see us. The diagnosis was an ear infection. We went to get her medicine and all she wanted to do was sleep and cuddle. My sister Priscilla was able to take a day off and watch Abby on Tuesday. I needed to go to work and get the month closed so we could get the financials to the owner. Wednesday Abby was able to go back to day care. I think she is finally getting used to day care because Thurs and Fri she didn't even cry when I dropped her off. Then Sat we had a wedding to go to so Abby was going to grandma and grandpa's house for a sleep over. We've only called 2x to see how she was doing. Now it is 7am on Sunday and I can not sleep. There are still a couple hours before we are meeting up with MIL to pick up Abby. I'm sure she'll be exhausted today because grandma keeps her busy by showing her off to all her friends.

Look who's standing!

Abby has been pulling herself up now for a couple of days. When I go to get her out of her crib in the morning, she is usually standing waiting for me. Well the other night, I was putting her laundry away and this is what she decides to do.

My little girl is growing up way to fast. Before I know it she will be running around the house. She already chases Hannah and Lily by crawling after them.

On the Move...

Abby has figured out crawling. A couple of days ago, she just took off. She has been pushing herself backwards and rocking back and forth on her hands and knees for a couple weeks now; but was showing no progress in going forward. Well that has all changed. Thursday when I called Roger to let him know I was on my way home, he said hurry up because he was tired from chasing Abby around all day. Sure enough she had finally figured it out. Once she figures something out there is no stopping her. She is very determined and stubborn just like her mother.

She is getting into everything, especially the stuff that she is not supposed to. Hannah and Lily do not know what to make of it, because Abby is now chasing them around.

Easter

Easter was 2 weeks ago now, but I thought I would share some pictures of Abby from that day. Abby and I went to Church with Roger's parents. She is such a well behaved baby and everyone was commenting on how good she was throughout the service. Here she is with grandpa before church. Then we went home to wake Daddy up (he had gone out to a friend's bachelor party the night before and was a little sleepy.)

Here are a few pictures of Abby while waiting for Daddy to get ready.

After we were all ready to go, we drove to my parent's house for Easter Dinner. Dinner was delicious and even Abby had some of grandma's sweet potatoes. After dinner, Abby was the center of attention and I was able to get a bunch of pictures. Here are a few.

Before we headed home we decided to get a picture of the 4 generations of women: Abby, me, my mom and my mom's mom.
