Look who's standing!

Abby has been pulling herself up now for a couple of days. When I go to get her out of her crib in the morning, she is usually standing waiting for me. Well the other night, I was putting her laundry away and this is what she decides to do.

My little girl is growing up way to fast. Before I know it she will be running around the house. She already chases Hannah and Lily by crawling after them.

On the Move...

Abby has figured out crawling. A couple of days ago, she just took off. She has been pushing herself backwards and rocking back and forth on her hands and knees for a couple weeks now; but was showing no progress in going forward. Well that has all changed. Thursday when I called Roger to let him know I was on my way home, he said hurry up because he was tired from chasing Abby around all day. Sure enough she had finally figured it out. Once she figures something out there is no stopping her. She is very determined and stubborn just like her mother.

She is getting into everything, especially the stuff that she is not supposed to. Hannah and Lily do not know what to make of it, because Abby is now chasing them around.

Easter

Easter was 2 weeks ago now, but I thought I would share some pictures of Abby from that day. Abby and I went to Church with Roger's parents. She is such a well behaved baby and everyone was commenting on how good she was throughout the service. Here she is with grandpa before church. Then we went home to wake Daddy up (he had gone out to a friend's bachelor party the night before and was a little sleepy.)

Here are a few pictures of Abby while waiting for Daddy to get ready.

After we were all ready to go, we drove to my parent's house for Easter Dinner. Dinner was delicious and even Abby had some of grandma's sweet potatoes. After dinner, Abby was the center of attention and I was able to get a bunch of pictures. Here are a few.

Before we headed home we decided to get a picture of the 4 generations of women: Abby, me, my mom and my mom's mom.

A change in careers...

After 7 1/2 years in public accounting, I have decided it is time to try something new. With a small child at home, it is too difficult to be away from her for 4 months of the year. How could I not be home to spend time with this precious face?

So I decided it was the right time to venture into the Corporate world. It was perfect timing too, because a prior colleague was looking for a controller.

I started my new position this week and I am enjoying the new challenge. There is so much to learn and so much to do that with my years of public accounting, this position will help me become a much more rounded and valuable accountant.
